deceased customer (foreign Contractor) with the same last name (surname)
as yours, made a numbered-time (fixed) deposit valued at $8,772,000.00(
Eight Million Seven Hundred and Seventy Two Thousand United States Dollars
) at the branch of our Bank where I work.
Upon maturity in
2009, we sent a routine notification to his forwarding address but got
no reply. After three months, we sent a reminder. Eventually, we discovered
from his contractors that he had died. Further investigations conducted
by me indicated that he neither left a WILL nor listed a next of kin
or any relation in the official document regarding his bank deposit
information with us.
This amount is still
available in my branch, and nobody will ever come forward to claim it.
In line with existing laws, the Board of Directors of the Bank have
said that if it unclaimed by end of July 2014, the funds will be declared
abandoned due to many years of inactivity, and when this done, ownership
of this money will revert to the Government, which in turn will end
up in the hands of some very corrupt and unscrupulous Government Officials.
Consequently, my proposal is that, I will like you to stand in as his
next of kin, so that this old man's fruit of labor does not get into
the hands of uncaring Government Officials. Besides, there are legions
of less privileged people all over the world for whom a meal is like
paradise. I feel that other than allowing this money to disappear, we
shall secure it for our mutual benefits and part of it given out to
charitable Organizations.
I need your assistance
to stand in as his next of kin and claim this money. The process is
simple. You will have to apply with your name as his next of kin. I
will use my position in the bank to ensure the successful processing
of your application. Finally,I consider you the suitable person to partner
with me in this important transaction because you share the same last
names with the deceased contractor(customer), you can apply as a cousin.
I also want to assure you that this transaction will be executed within
the framework of the law in which you will be protected from any breech
of our Country's Law.
I wish to point
out that I want 15% of this money to be shared among the charity Organizations,
while the remaining 85% will be shared between us. This proposition
is entirely risk free.
